Mildred Ashley Champion was the only child of Ancil Anderson and Ella Ashley Champion. She married Frank E. Miner, son of Calvin and Ida Coombs Miner, and they became the parents of three daughters: Ruth Elizabeth, Lois Arlene, and Doris L. Miner. They all lived in Norwich, Connecticut, as did Mildred's parents, Ancil and Ella Champion.
