JOHNEY G. MARTIN
Johney G. Martin, 71, died Friday, Nov. 25, 1988 ,at Rideout Memorial Hospital in Marysville following a short illness. He was born March 9, 1917. in Ellsinore, Mo. and moved to the Gridley-Biggs area in 1952 from Arcata.
Mr. Martin was a farmer and rancher most of his adult life. He was a former member of the Eagles Lodge in Arcata.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Martin of Biggs; three daughter,s June Thompson and Judy Martin ,both of Biggs, and Jackie Leonard of Gridley; four sisters, Mamie Sniggs of Arcata, Mabel Punch of Kalama, Wash., Esther Flaiz of Biggs, and Lilly Mayfield of Vancouver, Wash.; a brother, Clarence Martin of Glade Park, Colo., five grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charlie Martin, Spencer Martin, Roy Martin, and Ray Martin.

Graveside services were held Monday afternoon at Gridley-Biggs District Cemetery with the Rev. William Jefferies of Biggs United Methodist Church officiating and under the direction of Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
