Asa Anderson was the son of Edward and Sarah Ann Leedham Anderson. He married Mary Elizabeth Willey, December 8, 1892 in New London, Henry County, Iowa. They were the parents of nine children including: Gladys, Hazel Cecil, Earl Asa, Erma Jane, Donald Elzey, Cecile Marie, Effie Edith, John Edward, and Loren Ellis.

New London-Asa Anderson, 77, died at the home of his daughter, Cecyle Hartquist, Stronghurst,Ill., at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday after a lingering illness.
Services will be held in the Methodist church, New London, at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Paul Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Brook Cemetery, west of New London. The body will remain at McDonald's funeral home until the time for the services.
