ALVA MICHAEL
Alva Michael passed away as the result of a heart attack on January 29, 1973 in Grants Pass at the age of 69. Mr. Michael was born April 16, 1904 at Crow. He had worked as a faller for
Snellstroms for many years. He and his wife, Irene, whom he married in 1936 in Eugene, moved to Elkton where he suffered a severe heart attack and quit the woods work. The couple then moved to Grants Pass where they ran a rest home, The Ponderosa. He had many interests he enjoyed, and he leaves many good friends. He was a member of the Church of Christ where Pastor Don Michael (no relation) conducted the funeral service, and his burial at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Grants Pass.

Mr. Michael is survived by the widow, Irene, a daughter Darlene Poague of Wolf Creek, Ore., three granddaughters and one grandson. A son, Sam, preceded him in death at the age of 18; a brother Pete Michael of Noti; and three sisters: Mrs. Eva Holland of Crow, Mrs. Jessie Buoy of Alaska, and Edna of Redmond.

Mrs. Michael's sister Mrs. Mary Watkins lives in Vaughn.
