Revolutionary War Soldier. Enlisted in the Continental army and served in Col. Van Rensselaer's Reg't. Was taken prisoner by the British and confined aboard a ship in New York harbor for a time. During the earlier French and Indian wars as a child he was captured by the Indians and taken to Canada, where he remained about 3 years, according to family traditions.
Mary Myers was the maiden name of his wife. He settled in Busti about 1811.
