Funeral services for Raundle R. Thomason, 61, Christopher, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Christopher. The Rev. Eugene Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery Ewing. Friends may call after 5 p.m. at the funeral home today. Mr. Thomason, of 805 S. Church St., died Thursday morning at his home. He was a retired coal miner and last worked at Orient No. 2 mine, West Frankfort. Mr. Thomason was a member of the Baptist Church, Ewing, and the United Mine Workers of America, Local 1284. He was born Feb. 3, 1912, to Fred and Jennie Holman Thomason. Mr. Thomason is survived by his wife, Opal Pirtle Thomason; a daughter, Joy Ann Miller, Florissant, Mo.; four sisters, Velma Bradley, Sesser, Lois Briley, Macedonia, Mildred Colemann, Pleasant Hills, Calif., and Loretta Shew, Benton; three brothers, Cecil, Benton, Owen, Macedonia, and William, Carmi; and three grandchildren, Alan Miller, Angela Miller and Richard Miller, all of Florissant, Mo.
