The Chico Enterprise, Chico, CA, Saturday Evening, May 12, 1945: "Ada Boness Taken by Death. A native of Chico and a member of a pioneer family of this area, Ada Boness, 58, died yesterday at her home here. Her family settled in Little Chico canyon in 1852.

"She is survived by a son, Phillip Albright of San Francisco and her brothers, Jay, Fred, Thomas, Amos and William Boness of Chico, and sisters, Mrs. Jessie March and Mrs. Marjorie Wilson of Chico, and Mrs. Annie Wardwell of Alhambra, California.

"Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Brusie Funeral Home with interment following in Chico cemetery."
