In a letter to the Democratic Press, under date of October 32, 1860, George W. Paddock, having visited Boswell Green, then living in Huron, at the age of one hundred and four years and six months, wrote:
"When I' expressed my surprise at finding one so advanced in age, he said he was not so old as his grandmother was who lived to be one hundred and twenty, and he feared he would have to sit here as long. He lives with his grandchildren. I think that he is comfortably provided for." 94 MILITARY HISTORY OF WAYNE COUNTY
