Mrs. Sarah J. Carter Dies in Mason City After 3 Months Illness

Mrs. Sarah Jane Carter, 87, died at the home of her granddaughter Mrs. Harley Klemas, 1117 3rd SW.. at 3:30 o'clock Saturday after noon following a three-months illness

Mrs. Carter was born at Spring Valley, Minnesota, and has spent most of her life in Minnesota and Iowa but 1st come to Mason City 30 years ago for a visit.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Services will be held at the First Methodist church in McIntire, and burial will be in Wayne Cemetery in Mclntire. McAuley and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Carter is survived by a son, Cecil, of Garnavillo, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. W. E. Seekins and Mrs. Walter Seekins, both of Portland, Oregon: a brother, Edward Harper
of Mill Bank, Minnesota, 19 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
