Funeral Services for Mr. Pete Baxter, age 88, of Rockmart, Ga. will be held Friday, October 21, 2011, 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tracy Jarvis will officiate. Interment will follow at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Baxter will be held Thursday, October 20, 2011, 5:00-9:00 P.M.
Mr. Baxter is survived by step son, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis (Sherree) Hogan of Rome, Ga.; son, Mr. and Mrs. Randy (Donna) Baxter of Rockmart, Ga. son, Mr. and Mrs. Tim (Belinda) Baxter of Taylorsville, Ga.; grandchildren, Shane Hogan, Nikki Powell, Ben Langston, Kaillie Baxter and Tori Haygood; great granddaughters, Chloe Jones and Avery Powell; nephews, David Baxter, Rusty Baxter, Earl Cohran, Kenneth Cohran, Tony Cohran, Jake Baxter, Nothing Baxter; nieces, Deborah Parks, Julie Jarvis, Jan Moody, Pat Morris and Marvine McMillan.
