Per obit: Cloy "Ed" Johnson, Jr. age 61, formerly of Clayton, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2000 at the Otterbein Home in Lebanon, Ohio. He worked for 39 years as a tool and mold maker with Diamond Tool & Dye in Dayton, Ohio. Cloy was also a member of the Englewood United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Jean (Wirth); daughters and sons-in-law Cathy & Grant Johnson of Englewood and April & Ken Robbins of Kettering; sister and brother-in-law Bunnie & Al Heinz of West Carrollton; mother-in-law Eleanor Wirth of Englewood; grandchildren: Alan, Paul and Lydia and many other relatives and friends. Cloy was preceded in death by his parents Cloy and Ethel (Howell)Johnson Sr., and father-in-law Leon Wirth. Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 8 at 10:30 AM at the Kindred Funeral Home, 400 Union Blvd., Englewood. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Englewood. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 PM. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Kindred Funeral Home - envelopes will be provided.
