Aaron's second wife was Mary Ann Read, who was the mother of Emma A. Dickinson (1863-1898).
On August 21, 1864, Aaron married Rhoda Miller of Willaby, Lake County, Ohio, in Indianfields Township, Tuscola County, Michigan. They had three children: Dexter L. Dickinson (1866-1944), Earnest L. Dickinson (1869-?), and Rhoda S. Dickinson (1873-1935).
Aaron Dickinson died of arsenic poisoning at the age of 72 years, 10 months, and 24 days.
Obituary:
Although for over six months Aaron Dickinson has been the victim of failing health, his death was unexpected and came as a shock to his many neighbors and friends.
The funeral occurred on Tuesday morning, Rev. Barlow officiating. It was attended by a large concourse of his old neighbors and friends and the remains were committed to their last resting place in the Wahjamega Cemetery.
Besides a devoted wife, Mr. Dickinson leaves a family of two sons, Dexter and Everett who live near the homestead and one daughter [Rhoda], wife of Sheriff Elect [Samuel] Daugherty.
Mr. Dickinson was born in West Somerset, Niagara County, New York, Dec 15, 1829, and was therefore in his 73rd year. He lived in West Somerset until two years of age when he moved with his parents to Michigan and located in Wayne County, November 4, 18(59) he moved to Tuscola county where he purchased the farm which he has since owned just outside Caro. He made it one of the finest farms in this section.
