Rickey G. Cody
Rickey G. Cody, 48, of South Brooks Street, died at 7 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mr. Cody was formerly employed at Cosco in the maintenance department and was an Army veteran.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Jerry K. Day Sr. officiating. Calling will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Born Sept. 19, 1954, in Columbus, Mr. Cody was the son of George R. and Margie Haddix Cody.
He is survived by his parents, of Columbus; sons, Gerade Cody of Elletsville, Brandon Cody of Bloomington and Rickey Cheyenne Cody of Columbus; a daughter, Michelle Lutes of Columbus; sisters, Gail "Stormy" Wall of Edinburgh and Carla Lambert and Darla Newland, both of Columbus; and grandchildren, John Ryan Lutes of Columbus and Austin Cody of Ellettsville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
