MRS. CARRIE JOHNSON CALLED
Friends and relatives of Mrs. Carrie Johnson were grieved to learn that she had departed this life on Tuesday morning, May 22, 1956, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jim Roach, after a long illness.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Ellis County, Texas on August 28, 1883, and had lived in Burnet County for 65 years. She was a member of the Christ of Christ.
Funeral services for this kindly lady were held from the Clements Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 23, 1956 at 3:00 P. M., with Brother Silas Howell officiating. Burial was in the Burnet Cemetery under the direction of the Clements Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were, Laymond Parks, Clithel Plevan, Willie Garrett, Donald Barnett, James Johanson and C. C. Lary.
Survivors were a daughter, Mrs. Jim Roach of Burnet and one granddaughter, Miss Jamye Roach of Burnet; two sisters, Mrs. Dora Casner of Field Creek and Mrs. Sophia Haynes of San Antonio; and one brother, Dan Olney of Burnet.
