His wife was Leona Francis Whinery. They married in abt 1912.they also ran a tourist camp around 36th and Peoria in Tulsa, Oklahoma . Earnest was not only a barber, his daughter Dorothy ( my grandma) relayed to me that earnest was one of the first county commissioners in his area of Tulsa.

Ernest F. "Curley" Paxton Rites for Brother of Wade Paxton Last rites for Ernest Franklin (Curley) Paxton, 65, a brother of Pawnee resident Wade Paxton, were conducted Friday, June 27, 9:30 a.m. in Tulsa and burial was in that city's Memorial Park cemetery. He died in a Talihina hospital after a short illness. A Tulsan since 1909, he formerly lived in Pawnee. A well-known barber in Tulsa, he was born in Missouri and was a member of the Turley Methodist church and the barber's union. Survivors, in addition to the Pawnee brother, include: his wife, Leona; two sons, Don, Tulsa, and Jack, Peoria, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Campbell, of the Tulsa home; two brothers, George W. Caldwell, Idaho, and A.E. Paxton, Hugo; a sister, Mrs. Rose Killeberr, Ralston; and five grandchildren. Published in the Pawnee Chief, 3 July 1952
