Walter W. Ayers, HARTWELL March 16— Funeral services for Walter W. Ayers, 56, well known Hart County citizen who died at 10 o'clock yesterday morning in the Athens General Hospital following an illness of ten days will be held from the chapel of the Hartwell Funeral Home tomorrow at 11 a. m. The Rev. Paul S. Wight will officiate.
Burial will be in the West View (should be Northview) cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Jeff Adams, Jack McLeskey, Bill Vickery, Reed Ayers, Charles Ayers, Calloway Boleman and Walker McLeskey.
Mr. Ayers was born in Hart County, a son of the late Jack Ayers end Elizabeth Cleveland Ayers, both members of well known families of this section. He was a member of the Hartwell Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War I and had been prominent In Hartwell business circles for a number of years.
Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Mary Land Ayers; three sisters: Mrs. Martha Adams of Atlanta, Mrs. Sallie McLeskey of Hartwell, Mrs. Reece Boleman, also of Hartwell. Four brothers: Dr. M. J. Ayers of Green, Joe Ayers, Sam Ayers and Dan Ayers, all of Hartwell.
The body will be at the funeral home pending rites.
