Rose Mary (Bettress) Roberts, 59, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, in Franklin Hospital in Benton. She was born May 13, 1951, in Christopher, the daughter of A.C. and Anna Mae (Harris) Bettress. She married Randall Roberts on Aug. 3, 1973, and he survives. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Randall Roberts of Benton; three sons, Charles Wayne Roberts and wife Kathy of Winter Haven, Fla., Randy Roberts and fiancée Brandy Hall of Benton, Joshua Roberts and fiancée Keisha of Benton; four grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, John and Elijah; two step grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jo Ann Beaver and husband Bob of Sesser, Darlene Pierson and husband Louis of Sauk Village, Carolyn Carter of Benton; sister-in-law, Barbara Bettress of Benton; special friend, Gerri Simmons of Benton; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Marvin Long, Lonnie Bettress and Bill Bettress. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, in South Benton Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Roger Webb and the Rev. Glen Smith officiating. Burial will be in Williams Chapel Cemetery in Ewing. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, in Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton; and after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
