Eva McIntyre Milam Dixon

Eva McIntyre Milam Dixon, 91, of Evans, WV, formerly of Charleston, departed this life, August 2, 2001 at Eldercare of Ripley, following an extended illness.

She was born February 11, 1910 in Angerona, WV, a daughter of the late, Henry "Heck" and Blanche (Meredith) McIntyre.

She was a self employed seamstress, a past president of the West Side Women's Club, Charleston, a member of the Faith Rebekah Lodge #57, Elkview, WV, and a 50 year member of the Tiskelwah Chapter #45, Order of Eastern Star, Charleston, and she was a protestant.

Survivors include stepsons, Verlin (Karen) Dixon of Columbia Station, OH, and Ronnie (Betty) Dixon of Evans; stepdaughter, Blondina (Carl) VanSickle of Cottageville; brothers, Henry Ralph McIntyre of Sissonville, and Bernard McIntyre of Canton, OH; several nieces and nephews; 3 step grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Herbert Milam and Blonda Dixon; brothers, Charles "Bid", Donald, Raymond, Robert, John, and Harold; an infant sister.

Service will be Sunday, August 5, 2001, 2 p.m. at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with the Rev. Benjamin Riggleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Saturday at the funeral home, followed by an Eastern Star service by Cottageville Chapter #16 at 8 pm.
