Jean spent time much of her childhood at the farm of her fraternal grandparents, Oscar M and Effie Smith. She was a long-time resident of Upper Arlington and was employed for many years at Lazarus Kingsdale. She enjoyed her family and creating delicious meals. She was a dedicated Ohio sports fan and enjoyed trading tales with her grandson about Woody Hayes, Johnny Bench and Pete Rose.
Jean was buried beside her husband in Walnut grove Cemetery Worthington, Ohio.
