Niles C. Jacobs, 89, of Aztec NM, died on
Nov. 10, 2011, in Farmington NM. He was born Nov. 28, 1921, to Iva Bunch Jacobs and James Curt Jacobs. He graduated from high school and lettered in track. He was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was a baker who could make a good doughnut, and a patrol officer with the Jackson County, Missouri, Sheriff's Office. He was a trucker in 48 states before he retired. He liked to travel and collect saddles.
He was preceded in death by his wife Alice L. Mark; his parents; his son Nile James Jacobs; and sisters Fern Davis and Ollie Cummings.
He is survived by his son Mark Jacobs and daughters Linda and Karlie. Mr. Jacobs had 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
