Walter Henry Nance

Graveside services for Walter Henry Nance were conducted at Memory Lawn Cemetery, at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, with Rev. Jim Price officiating.

Mr. Nance was born in Caldwell County on August 14, 1915, to Thomas and Dovey Louise Williams Nance. He was married to Gladys Brown on October 11, 1937.

He worked as a well pumper in the oil industry; and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lockhart.

Mr. Nance died Sunday, January 7, in the Guadalupe Valley Hospital in Sequin.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys Brown, of Luling; a son, Edward E. Nance of Luling; a daughter, Mary Ellen DeFlorian, of Lockhart; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; two sisters, Ruby DeLaney of Smithville and Nellie Miller of San Antonio; and a brother, Fred Nance, of San Antonio.

Arrangements were under the direction of O'Bannon Funeral Home, Inc.
