Mary B. Weaver, 94, of Belvidere, formerly of Marengo, IL, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in Northwoods Care Center following a lingering illness.

She was born on May 31, 1915 in Marengo, IL, the daughter of Ralph and Edna (Hastings) Beldin. She graduated from Marengo Community High School-Class of 1933. She attended a 6 month textile pattern making school in Chicago. Mary married Bernard Weaver in Chicago, IL on January 22, 1935. She was a professional seamstress who worked from her home. She was a very active member of First Baptist Church, Marengo. Her church activities included being a church moderator and Sunday school teacher for the junior and senior high school and adult education. She was past president of the American Baptist Women. She was co-chairperson of the Annual May Breakfast and was a member of the old Builders Social Club. Mary was also a member of the McHenry County Historical Society.

She is survived by her three children, Barbara (Richard) Uyeda, Pelion, SC, Lynnea (Richard) Schinske, Marengo, IL and Jean Koltz, Belvidere, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Lisa Hansen, Kenji (Deborah) Uyeda, Michael (Catherine) Shinske, Theresa (Phillip) Kehoe, Melinda (Randy) Brown, Debra (Jeff) Brown, Deanna (William) Swafford. Twenty-three great grandchildren and eleven, great-great grandchildren, a brother, John Beldin, Marengo, IL and a sister-in-law, Laura (Donald) Hays, Bemidji, MN.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Yvonne Schinske, a sister, Clarice Beldin and son-in-law, Larry Koltz.

It was Mary's wish to donate her body to Anatomical Gift Association of IL to further Medical Science. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 20, 2010 at First Baptist Church, 320 Washington Street, Marengo, IL.
