Mr. Osborne had served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.
He worked for Cosden Oil and Chemical for thirty one years, retiring on March 31, 1982.
Walter loved to bowl and was active in the Big Spring Bowling Association.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his son, Roy Lee Osborne of Corinth; two grandsons, Jerry Sullivan of Dallas and Jeff Sullivan of Lewisville; two sisters, Wilda Brothers and Teenie Waite both of Gloversville, New York; and a number of nephews and nieces.
The family suggest memorials be made to Home Hospice, Big Spring, Texas.
