Chuck was married to Evelyn Burling who gave birth to three sons, Dennis, Don, and infant son Dean. Evelyn and son Dean passed away early in life. In 1959 Chuck married Arlene Burling. Don and Dennis were joined by Brothers Larry and Jim and sister, Connie. The youngest daughter, Ann soon completed the family. Chuck and Arlene dedicated the next fifty six years molding their families together to become one. Chuck and Arlene were very proud of this accomplishment and always cherished each of the six sons and daughters as their very own.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers and sisters, and son Jim Burling. He is survived by his sister, Clara Zabrocki, brother, Duane Burling, loving wife Arlene Burling, sons Dennis Burling (Lesta), Don Burling (Karen) and Larry Burling (Faye) and daughters Connie Burling Parchem (Rick) and Ann Burling Roseberry (Bo), daughter-in-law Margaret Burling, ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Chuck’s faith carried him through his last days on earth. He had no doubt that there was a place in heaven waiting for him. He looked forward to meeting his Lord and Savior and visiting with those loved ones waiting for him.
Charles Burling passed away on October 8, 2015 at the age of 91. He requested graveside services only, which will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Rose Neath Cemetery, North Airline Drive Bossier City, Louisiana. The family would like to thank Rev. R.L. Bethley of Asbury United Methodist Church, Drs. Balogh and Katz and especially Martha and Jackie from Southern Care Hospice for their care and compassion during this time. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, Bossier City, LA or a charity of your choice.
