His wife, Jessie (Miller) Ryzewski, died in 1962. He leaves two sons, Joseph S. Ryzewski of Webster and Thomas C. Ryzewski of Thompson; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Webster, son of Walter and Frances Ryzewski, and lived here all his life.
He worked at the former Bates Shoe Co. plant here for many years, retiring in 1973.
Mr. Ryzewski was a member of St. Joseph's Church, and assistant scoutmaster of its Troop 173, Boy Scouts of America. He was a cook for the troop at Treasure Valley Boy Scout Camp in Paxton since 1956. He received a Silver Beaver Award from Mohegan Council, BSA, in 1971. Mr. Ryzewski was a volunteer manager of the Catholic Charities store for many years. He was a life member of Webster Lodge of Elks and was its tiler for many years.
