Edward "La Murel" Gill, 75, died Thursday in Franklin, North Carolina. A Native of Iowa, he came here from Lakeland, Florida 15 years ago. He was a retired ice cream manufacturer.

Survivors include his wife, Pearle B Gill of Franklin, North Carolina; his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Lesnett and his grandson, Gill Terry both of Lakeland.
