Lillie was a Pioneer before her time regarding Genealogy. She researched her Family History and stories passed down to generations that she had located Civil War connections to our family and beyond. Her Love of History was shared by her family. Daughter, Georgia Dee Jakes, sent letters by which one was sent to me through Mrs Ollie Guy Barnes, a relative. ( Sadly, she had passed by the time, I found her. But, found her children willing to share.
The Obit was passed on to pass on to her children and their children, etc which aids in research greatly. My Gratitude of Thanks goes to her family that kept the spirit of Family History alive, shared and continues on to this day.

Please Note that in any oral family history errors can be found.
