TOWAOC, COLORADO - In Loving Memory of Winslow "Weezy" BigSoldier, born December 3, 1988, to the late John BigSoldier Sr. and Dolly RaNae (Snow) BigSoldier. He was tragically taken from this life on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at his home in Towaoc, Colorado. Winslow had a free spirit and enjoyed living life to the fullest. He had a strong passion for music, his family, and friends. He also enjoyed sports. He loved to make people laugh and brought much joy to everyone with his laughter. He will be deeply missed by many who had the chance to be a part of his journey here on earth.
Surviving Winslow are his wife, Brittany Jasmine Gomez; his son, Devan Ute, both of Towaoc, Colorado; his siblings: Virginia M. BigSoldier (David) of Towaoc, Colorado; Serena M. BigSoldier (Eddie) of Sham; Joni BigSoldier (Greg) of Sham; Trenton Hunter BigSoldier (Sandra) of Sham; his uncle, Angus Snow; aunt, Donnitta (Snow) Woughter, both of Sham; many nieces, nephews, family, friends, and loved ones. Winslow is preceded in death by his brother, John BigSoldier Jr., sister, Sethena Snow and many loved ones.
There will be a traditional all night sing Friday, November 11, 2011, starting at 7:00 p.m. at Shivwitts Community Building located on the reservation. Services will be Saturday, November 12, 2011, also at the Sham building. Burial will follow services at the Shivwitts Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Pine View Mortuary, 435-986-4222.
