BECHTOL, Oscar W.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 19, 1967 for Oscar W Bechtol from the Presbyterian Church with the Rev Don Schwab officiating.

Mr Bechtol died suddenly at his home early Saturday morning, June 17, 1967 from a heart attack.

He was born June 13, 1910, at Baird and grew up and continued to live in the area. He married Rosalie Thoren October 27, 1935. They operated a wheat farm until about six years ago when they moved to town. He was employed by Taschereau's Food Market for a time. He then purchased the Home Market which he was operating at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalie, at the home; two sons, Ralph, Coulee City and Kenneth, East Wenatchee; three daughters, Doris Bechtol of Seattle; Mrs Gerald (Helen) Bolen of Spokane and Elaine Bechtol, Coulee City; his mother, Mrs Effie Bechtolm Coulee City; five brothers, John of Bellingham and Clarence, William, Roy and Jasper, all of Coulee City; one sister, Mrs Walter Schlatter, Mesa; and 11 grandchildren.

He was a member of Coulee City Lodgem F & AM; a member of St. Andrews Grange. He joined the Baptist Church as a boy.

Interment was at HIghland Cemetery with members of the Masonic Lodge in charge of part of the service.
