Elizabeth was the daughter of John T. Dunn and Margaret "Peggy" McIlvain (b.1793 in KY, d.22Apr1831) They were married on 28 Jan 1813 in Logan Co., Ohio. After Elizabeth's mother died in 1831 his father relocated the family in 1832 to Grant Co., Indiana.

She married David Bish on 26 Mar 1835 in Grant Co., Indiana. They had 5 children that they named: Sylvester, John T., David A, Mathias D. and Morris Otto Bish.

Elizabeth was the second wife of David Bish. David's first wife, Nancy Cain (b.1805, d.1833), died in Shelby Co., Ohio at the young age of 27.

After Elizabeth (Dunn) Bish died in 1862 her husband, David, went on to marry a third time on 16 Feb 1864 in Grant Co., Indiana to a Sarah Stout (b.1830, d.1868).

David's last two wives , Elizabeth & Sarah, are resting side by side in the IOOF cemetery in Block 10, Lot 8, Graves 4 & 5.
