She met Harley Bolen July 10, 1930 playing pee wee golf. On December 17, 1932, she married Harley Dorr Bolen. They had two children, Lois (husband Donald) Stange; and a son, Todd (wife Mary) Bolen. Mildred Bolen was a homemaker, living in Oak Park, Illinois, for more than 50 years and briefly in Brookfield, Illinois before moving to Wheaton, Illinois. Mildred Edna (Kober) Bolen died, age 90, Thursday, January 9, 2003, at the DuPage County Convalescent Center in Wheaton, Illinois.
