Daniel was one of the Highway Surveyors in Shrewsbury in 1760. His District was in the 2d Parish {Shrewsbury 2d Parish was incorporated as Boylston in 1786), towards Lancaster.

Other North Parish records for the 9th were listed as the 18th, so deferred to the date on the gravestone for this memorial.
