Melvin M. Kelly, aged 69, of 211 West Marion street, died at 7 a.m. today in his
home after an illness of one year. He was born Dec. 14, 1871, in McDonald,
Mich., and had lived here since 1917, coming from Medaryville, Ind. He married
Miss Leona LONG, Aug., 13, 1892, in Indianapolis.
Surviving are his wife; eight sons, Martin M., Grant C.,, Clarence L., Floyd
M., Lee R., and Lawrence K. KELLY, all of this city, Paul E. KELLY, of
Inglewood, Calif., and Melvin C. KELLY, of Demott, Ind, two daughters, Mrs.
Berta GALBREATH, of North Judson, Ind., and Mrs. Theressa TYSEN, of Demott; one
brother, Carl KELLY of Battleground, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Charles WOODRUFF, of
this city; 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at
