Enoch was the co-owner, with his father-in-law, of Travis -Abney Furniture (furniture, baby carriages, dry goods) and Undertakers (note the hearse on the right). They were located at 319 Central Ave and I believe this picture is from before 1900. Leonard Kitchens was the undertaker and later of Kitchens & Thompson Funeral Home after Travis & Abney closed. The building in the pic was torn down before 1902 and replaced by the three story building used by Norman Leggett Furniture and Rhodes Furniture. There was a second floor mezzanine in 1902. Enoch Davis Travis married Bettie Abney about 1895 and was in partnership with her brothers, John Henry and Samuel W, who had similar businesses in Shubuta and Heidelberg, respectively. The Laurel business was sold in 1922. The Abney brothers also had Abney Furniture in Hattiesburg in the same time period. From Ronnie Goss.
