Mrs. Mary Blair, Mt. Carroll

Mrs. Mary Blair, 86, died at 6:30 Monday (3 May 1937) morning in the home of her son, Frank Blair of Mt. Carroll.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in Stockton, her former home, with the Rev. D.L. Hiatt officiating. Burial was made at Stockton.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Webb Kaufman of Stockton, and five sons, Frank of Mt. Carroll, Leo of Lanark, Ralph of Stockton, Joseph of Thomson and James of Polo.

Funeral Services Held Yesterday for Mother of Joe Blair

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Blair, 86, of Mt. Carroll were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Methodist church in Stockton, Rev. D.L. Hiatt officiating. Six grandsons of the deceased served as pallbearers, and interment was in the Ladies’ Union cemetery at that place.
Mrs. Blair was born Oct. 1, 1851, in Potosi, Wis., the daughter of Peter and Barbara Cockenberger, and on April 6, 1871, she was united in marriage to James Blair. She had spent practically all of her life in Stockton and vicinity. Mrs. Blair had not recovered from a broken hip which she suffered last fall, and she passed away early Monday morning in the home of her son, Frank, in Mt. Carroll.
Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. Webb Kaufman of Stockton, five sons, Frank of Mt. Carroll, Joseph of Thomson, Ralph of Stockton, Leo of Lanark and James of Polo.
