Frank M. Coonrod, who resides at 323 North Huff street, one of White county's respected citizens, died suddenly yesterday afternoon at the home of Samuel Watkins in East Monticello, death being due to paralysis of the heart. Mr. Coonrod had been assisting Mr. Watkins with some farm work and had gone into the barn where he sat down on a box. Mr. Watkins followed him into the barn a few minutes later and found him lying on the floor. Dr. H.W. Greis was summoned but he was dead before the doctor arrived.
Frank M. Coonrod was born on November 18, 1844 in Marion county, Ohio, where he spent his boyhood. He was married in 1865 to Isabel Marshall, in Marion county, where they took on their residence and continued to reside there until 1871 when they moved to White county north of Buffalo. They resided near Buffalo for many years but later moved to Liberty township near the Valley school house, where they lived until they came to Monticello fifteen months ago.
During his residence in White county he had made a host of friends who together with his wife, two sons, Frank of Marion, Ohio, and Lemuel of Alberta, Canada, a brother, George Coonrod of Canton, Ohio, and two half sisters, deeply mourn the loss of their beloved friend and relative.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
