Robert Conley Allen, 73, died early Saturday morning at his home in Radford.
He was retired as a Norfolk and Western engineer after 49 years of service,
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Stafford Allen; two sons, Maj. Robert Carlyle, U.S. Army; James William Allen, Radford; two brothers. Irvin Allen. Norfolk; Marvin Allen. Parkersburg, W. Va,; McKinley one sister, Mrs. Virginia Chapman, Norfolk; five grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted today at 2.30 by Rev. Arthur Jones. Burial was in Sunrise Cemetery. Active pallbearers were J B . Strawn, Curfin, Saul Simon, John Turner, Charles Motteshead, Robert Bruce
