L. Claude Storer
March 30, 1934 - July 4, 2012
L. Claude Storer, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away at his cabin in Brockman, Idaho, on July 4, 2012.

He was born March 30, 1934, in Milo, Idaho, the son of Lorus Storer and Vera May Peterson Storer. He grew up in Milo and attended Ucon High School.

On March 28, 1951, Claude married Guelda Ruth Ashment in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She passed away November 2, 1991. On December 7, 1994, he married Sharon Velda Egan in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

Claude lived in Milo, where he raised his family and was involved in farming, ranching and raising horses and cattle. He loved being on his horse in the Hills.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including Sunday School Presidency, High Councilman, Elders Quorum President, and for many years he served in the Idaho Falls Temple, first with his wife, Guelda, and then later with his wife, Sharon.

Claude served on the Idaho State Water Board and Committee of Nine for over 20 years, Idaho Water Users Hall of Fame in 2003, and the Idaho Water Resource Board from 1997 to 2009. He served on the Ririe Reservoir Resource management Plant in 2001. He served on the Board of Directors for the Great Feeder and Harrison Canals, and the Bonneville Cattleman's Association.

Claude's family was most important to him. Some of the names he is known by are "Dad", "PaPa", "Brother", "Grandpa", "That Funny Grandpa", "Husband", and "My Sweetheart".

We will miss his eternal optimism and his giant bear hugs. We mourn his passing, yet are grateful for our faith that he is having a glorious reunion in Heaven. He had a very infectious laugh and it will be greatly missed. He died where he wanted, doing what he wanted, with his boots on.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Milo;
Daughters: Ronda Jo (Scott) Eskelson and Gay Lyn (Ray) Mortensen both of Idaho Falls; Son, Garth (Shauna) Storer of Milo;Step-children: Sherrie (Kevin) Potter and Brad (Brenda) Anderson both of Idaho Falls; Ron (Kim) Anderson of Roseburg, Oregon; and Mike (Serena) Anderson both of Rigby; Sister-in-law, Elaine Storer of Idaho Falls; Brother-in-law, Keith (Deon) Ferguson of Ririe; Brothers: Don Storer of Ucon and Brad (Carolyn) Storer of Idaho Falls; Sister, Norma (Ken) Radford of Idaho Falls; and 34 grandchildren and 16 Great-grandchildren.
