Opal V. Achenbach, 73, of Central City, died Wednesday in her home after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, United Methodist Church, Central City. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Cedar Memorial Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. to service time Friday in the church.
Born October 5, 1916, in Iowa County, she retired from Younkers.
Survivors include her husband, Harold, two sons, Stanley of Mobile, Alabama and Arthur of Hiawatha: two daughters, Virginia Cooper of Mesa, Arizona and Bonnie Jayne of Olin; a brother, three sisters, 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
