Louise E. Patterson, 101, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, in the Masonic Village, Sewickley. Born in McKeesport, Aug. 18, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Lewis W. Patterson and A. Christine Washichek Patterson. Her mother came from Kansas as a trained missionary and served at the White Street Mission in McKeesport. Formerly of White Oak and McKeesport, she was a graduate nurse in Pittsburgh, New York City, Florida and St. Croix. She was a member of the First Christian Church of McKeesport and its Senior Sonshiners and its church choir, where she served many years as a Sunday school teacher. She also was a member of the Queen Aliquippa Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, member of the former Chapter 40, Order of the Eastern Star, member of Clairton Chapter 316, Order of the Eastern Star, member of Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic, Colonel Sam Black Circle 18, and was a graduate nurse of Boyce Community College. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph M. Patterson and Douglas Patterson; and by two sisters, Virginia Schank and Janet Hughes.
