FORT WAYNE - Edward J. Heidenreich, 56, Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, April 29, 1998, at his home.
He was born on Feb. 14, 1942, in Fort Wayne to Joseph A. and Alvina (Roemer) Heidenreich.
He was a retired Fort Wayne police officer. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and the Wayne Lodge No. 14, Fraternal Order of Police, Fort Wayne.
Surviving are his wife, Stephanie E.; a son, Michael Heidenreich; two daughters, Pamela E. Rethlake and Kathleen S. Williams; a brother, Donald E. Heidenreich; a sister, Eileen S. Smith; a stepsister, Mary Fryback; and six grandchildren.
