Mr. Brown was born in the town of Moira, Oct. 18, 1849, son of Comer and Cinderella Brown. He married Addie L. Aldrich Oct. 18, 1872. She died March 8, 1932. Mr. Brown resided in Winthrop several years, coming to Potsdam about 10 years ago.
He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Alex Richard of Alburg, N. Y., Mrs. Paul Scherf of Philadelphia, Pa.; Mrs. Henry (Nora) Hunter of this village; Mrs. James (Nina) Rossley of New Bremen, N. Y. and Mrs. Alma Pike of Brasher Falls; by two sons, Hollis Brown of Glens Falls and Claude Brown of Potsdam; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Edward Peck of Reedley, Calif.
Interment will be made at Winthrop in the spring.
