Nancy L. Brown, 76, of Lafayette, IN, died at 1:31 PM Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital.
She was born January 24, 1935, in Stockwell, IN, to the late Bernard and Florence Jackson Russell.
Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Stockwell High School. On December 28, 1953 she married Robert Brown and he passed away on April 11, 2002. Mrs. Brown was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, card playing and gambling.
Surviving are son Brian R. Brown wife Lori, Delphi, IN, daughter Sue A. Doke husband Kim, Clarks Hill, IN, brother George D. Russell wife Marlene, Mulberry, IN, sister Carol Smith husband Herman, Mulberry, IN, sister, Phyllis Peck husband Brian, Lafayette, IN, brother Larry Russell wife Patti, Genoa, IL, 2 grandchildren, Dillon and Kyra Brown, also great-nephew Jackson Peck, great-niece Alexa Peck, great-step-nephew Dakota Pickett, several other nieces and nephews..
Preceded in death by her parents and a sister Barbara McKinney.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, from 9-11am at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Funeral Service Saturday 11am Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel Rev. Lori Gibson officiating. Interment will take place at Stockwell Cemetery.
