Last of the Cyclone Sufferers

The Death of Mrs. Cal. Barrack Closes the list of Fatalities from September' storm

Mrs. Cal Barrack died peacefully Monday at noon. Her funeral was held at the late home in Union today at noon. Her death recalls the devastation of last September. As the cyclone came up, Chas. Lee and his family, going from the fair, stopped at Barrack's. There were 12 in the house when it was crushed and they were strung across the adjoining fields. Mrs. Barrack was struck on the hip by a timber and in the abdomen by the stove, and was paralyzed when found. She had never recovered the use of her limbs, and for some weeks it has been evident that death must result. She was the only one of the 12 who were seriously injured. It was from the Barrack place that most of the letters were blown that were found over near Osage.
