Herbert William Beard, 65, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Williamson Medical Center. Mr. Beard was a resident of Franklin and employed with Durango Boot Factory. He was a member of West Main Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Forrest Beard; two sons, Herbert Calvin Beard and Roy Edward Beard, all of Franklin; two daughters, Ida Carlene Holt of Franklin and Martha Jean Beard of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Thelbert Beard and Buford Beard, both of Franklin; and five grandchildren, Stephanie Holt, Philip Holt, Christina Beard, Rebecca Beard and Courtney Beard.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 19, at Franklin Memorial Chapel with Martin Leman and Tommy Peeler officiating. Burial will be in the Beard Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Raymond Beard, Virgil Beard, John Beard, Tandy Beard, Robert Martin, Mike Hargrove, Eric Burgett and Stanley Fitzgerald.
