Peter Sunderland Crisenberry was born May 23, 1831, in Gallatin, Kentucky, the son of Benjamin and Rebecca Robbins Sunderland Crusenberry. He married on August 7, 1851, in Allen County, Indiana, to Lydia Jane Valentine, daughter of John Valentine and Susanna Peters. They were the parents of 7 known children: Sarah Jane, Willis W., Florence Valentine, Mary E., Martha A., Olive N. and Henry E. Crisenberry. Lydia Jane Valentine Crisenberry passed away in December of 1868, after which Peter married 2nd to Mary E. Mosher of Morrow County, Ohio. They were the parents of at least 4 children: Edith E., Martha, Ethel and Virginia Crisenberry. Peter passed away August 7, 1897, in Johnson County, Nebraska, and was buried in Tecumseh Cemetery there.
