She is survived by her beloved daughter, Kathy Emmen (Dustin) with grandsons, Shawn and Eddie, her nephew, Clint Coons, niece, Brenda Coons and family, her stepbrother, Max Dane(Linda,) along with dear cousins and their families.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Lenna Buchert (Coons) Mould and Owen Coons (Ruby), brother, Dan Coons, and stepsister, Loretta (Dane) Reynolds (McDaniel). Days later her stepsister, Edna (Dane)Hiatt (Jim) also passed away in AZ.
Betty cooked in many restaurants during her life and enjoyed collecting unique recipes. During the 70's and 80's she worked in retail helping Kathy's father, Robert Eskridge, with his jewelry and watch repair business. Betty moved back to Idaho in 1987 and eventually became the laundress at Owyhee Health and Rehab Center in Homedale. After a stroke in 2009 she was no longer able to work and became a resident of that facility.
Betty was known for her voracious reading and love of animals, especially cats. She was a hard worker, dedicated employee and real friend to any in need. Her exuberance and heart will be missed but not forgotten.
The family extends many thanks for the caring attention she received at Owyhee Health and Rehab Center. Appreciation also to Flahiff Funeral Chapel for their service.
Arrangements pending spring of 2012 for interment beside her mother at Vale Pioneer Cemetery in OR.
