James Hardin Young was son of Melvinia Malinda Catherine Plunk and Rufus Nealy Young, and grandson of Polly and Absalom Young. He married Norah A Thorn. Their children were Jesse Young 1899, Lela M Young 1902, Thomas N 1904, Henry Harley 1906, George W Young 1908, Neal Young 1910, Taft C Young 1910, Joe Young 1912, Shelly Young 1915, and Laura Young 1918.
Note: In the 1910 census Hardin’s mother Melvinia aged 74 is living in his household.
Hardin died in 1939 in the Baptist Hospital in Memphis TN. He was 64.
