His father was Stephen Cantwell Sr. born in Arkansas, and his mother's maiden name was Alabama Irene Lawrey, born in Alabama. Stephen Sr. and Alabama had lived in New Mexico for several years and Stephen is buried there whil Alabama is buried in Arizona. An informant for the death certificate was John Cantwell, at that time having an address Box 1049, Prescott, Arizona.
