REAGAN, LT. COL. CORNELIUS L., a decorated World War II USAF veteran and career State of Florida investigator passed away 8-20-2011. Born in Lexington, Kentucky on Oct 5, 1915. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1941. After flying numerous missions in his P-40 over the Pacific Theater, he was first shot down on the Island of Bali, not learning his lesson he went back up only to be shot down again over the Island of Java. He evaded the Japanese for 6 months before being captured and spent 3 years at hard labor in a non-Red Cross regulated prison. After the War ended and he was released, he continued to stay in the Air Force and was honorably retired after 20 years. Upon retiring he went to work for the Florida Real Estate Commission, later becoming the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, heading up the Miami office. He retired after 33 years of service. Con, as he was affectionately known to his friends, was full of life and lived life to the fullest. He was kind-hearted and an inspiration and blessing to many throughout his life. His wife Frances whom he was married to for 56 years and was his best friend predeceased him. He is survived by his two sons Patrick and Barry and Patrick's wife Kaaren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his family. He will join his wife for eternal life at Arlington National Cemetery where he will be buried with full military honors.
